Texas Counties Deliver – learn how county government serves you
Wharton County Courthouse
BURN BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED FOR WHARTON COUNTY AS OF SEPTEMBER 17, 2023 12:01 AM. BURN BAN OFF.

Welcome to Wharton County, Texas

Wharton County residents are asked to place any Hurricane Beryl incident generated debris on the public right-of-way.  The public right-of-way is the area of residential property that extends from the street to the sidewalk, ditch, utility pole or easement. Do not place near mailboxes, power lines, large trees, vehicle, or any other obstacle that would prevent pick up crews access. Bagged debris should not be placed on the public right-of-way, only loose debris will be collected. Please refer to the pictures below for guidelines on sorting debris. If all debris is not picked up during the initial pass, please continue to push remaining debris to the right-of-way for collection on subsequent passes.

Pipelines and Utilities
Pipelines and other underground utility lines crisscross our yards, neighborhoods and community. Because we can't see them, we seldom think about their location, potential hazards and tips for keeping them safe. Visit the Texas Pipeline Awareness Alliance Website at http://pipeline-safety.org to learn more about the pipelines near your home or business.
