Notice is hereby given that the polling places listed below will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on November 8, 2011, for voting in the Special Election for the following:
A Special Election to adopt or reject the proposed Constitutional Amendments as submitted by the 82nd Legislature, Regular Session, of the State of Texas.

AUSTIN – The ballot order for ten proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution was determined today through a random drawing by Secretary of State Hope Andrade. The election will be November 8, 2011.
“As in all elections, these are important decisions for voters to make,” said Andrade. “Our constitution was enacted in 1876 and has been amended more than 400 times, and each amendment is just as important as the last.”

"The constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to provide for an exemption from ad valorem taxation of all or part of the market value of the residence homestead of the surviving spouse of a 100 percent or totally disabled veteran."

"The constitutional amendment providing for the issuance of additional general obligation bonds by the Texas Water Development Board in an amount not to exceed $6 billion at any time outstanding."
